Description of Material |
|
|
|
The high thermal conductivity and electric conductivity
indicates that this material has excellent resistance
against thermal stress relief; New materials that are
resistant to electro migration caused by increasing
current density are collectively called barrier metals;
this copper alloy can be highly utilized as such barrier
metal. |
|
-What is barrier metal ?
|
Improvement in wiring density has created
higher current velocity, making it more
difficult to cope with electro migrations.
Cullently, wiring metals mainly have a
stacking structure consisting of metals
with high fusion points; these metals have
poor heat resistance and performance is
inadequate. Barrier metal is the collective
term for materials that have stable thermal
expantion coefficients and excellent mechanical
strength in addition to the required high
thermal and electric conductivities, thermal
resistance and good workability. |

Good workability, in bending, drawing, spinning etc.
Plating, soldering, etchingability and weldability are
also good. |
